Bangka Belitung Archipelago Province that is represented by Regional Investment Coordinating Board of Bangka Belitung Island Province participated in INDONESIA TODAY Expo 6th at Singapore Expo, Singapore on 3 to 6 May, 2012.
INDONESIA TODAY Expo is an annual international promotion event that collaborates three aspects, which are Tourism, Trade and Investment. The event organizer is PT Bintangexpo Media Multi Kreasi. The event helds every year (period of May) in Singapore since 2007 and the participants comes from Local Government Institutions (Province, Regency, Municipality) and Small Medium Enterprises.
Generally, Indonesia Today Expo presents all of the newest aspects of Indonesia Industry with the goal to attract the partners of trading, buyers, investors and foreign tourists to come to Indonesia. The final goal of the event is to increase the income and foreign exchange.
Regional Secretary of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Mr. Imam Mardi Nugroho attended the opening ceremony of Indonesia Today Expo on May 3, 2012. The next day, there were meeting with the Singapore investors facilitated by Indonesia Investment Promotion Centre (IIPC) Singapore which is the representative of Investment Coordinating Board of Republic Indonesia in Singapore and attended by the Chairman of IIPC Singapore, Mr. Harry Santoso and the investors. The Chairman of Regional Investment Coordinating Board of Bangka Belitung Islands Province, Mr. Zakaria Umarhadi delivered the presentation of potential investment opportunities in Bangka Belitung that consisted of six sectors (Marine and Fisheries, Tourism, Agriculture, Mining, Industry, and Trade and Service).

INDONESIA TODAY Expo 6th is the media for Regional Investment Coordinating Board of Bangka Belitung Islands Province to keep promote investment in Bangka Belitung. Some investors from Singapore interest to come to Bangka Belitung and learn the possibility to invest, especially in plantation, marine and fisheries and tourism sectors. Most of the investors will come to Bangka Belitung in the next June and July 2012 by their own or by facilitation from IIPC Singapore. Their interests to come as the result of the promotion in INDONESIA TODAY Expo in Singapore become a chance for local businessmen in Bangka Belitung to make a business link with them and for the future the network can become the assets for the economy increase in Bangka Belitung Islands Province.
